Ahmedabad:

– There has been incident of major fire in Bharat based Rashmi Poly Fab Private Limited in Surat. This is industrial area of Surat. About dozen vehicles of Fire brigade are on the spot to control fire.

– Vadodara police has formed four teams to find out Parul University founder president Jayesh Patel who has been booked under rape charge. A girl students from Parul University has filed complaint against Jayesh Patel in Waghodia police station.

– BJP has meanwhile suspended Jayesh Patel from party. Patel had contested assembly elections twice as Congress candidate against BJP’s Madhu Shrivastava but tasted defeat. He then joined BJP just before year 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He was not given any post in BJP but he was given responsibility of Dabhoi BJP as guardian. The party was going to organize its taluka level training workshop at Parul campus next week. However the venue has been changed now.

– One person has been arrested in Machhipith-Rakhial area of Ahmedabad with duplicate shoes of Nike company worth lakhs of Rupees.

– Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is in Gujarat on two-day visit. He yesterday arrived at Sardar Patel airport and moved to Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar where he met state Governor and state BJP president among others and had night halt. Rajnath today visited Border Security Force(BSF) base in Nadabet area of Rann of Kutch close to Banaskantha. Rajnath is scheduled to address BJP karyakarta meet and public meeting in Porbandar today.

– Bhagwan Jagannath’s Jal Yatra which commences every year ahead of annual Rath Yatra will be held on June 20. Rath Yatra this year is scheduled to take place on July 7.

– Former cop D.G.Vanzara in Surat offered garland with duplicate ‘pistol’ and pen to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s statue in Surat. A small group of local youths from Patidar community removed this garland describing it as insult of Sardar. To this Vanzara supporters argued wasn’t it insult of Sardar when you shouted ‘Jay Sardar’ and torched public property and buses?

– Gujarat will get Coconut Board office in Junagadh and Organic Agriculture University in Vadodara. This information was given by MoS Jashabhai Barad.

– Surat based Ashwin Sudani has created world record of delivering continuous speech for 75 hours. He delivered this record breaking speech at the speech marathon event in Swaminarayan Gurukul.
