Monsoon further advances covering Saurashtra, South and Central Gujarat

Ahmedabad: South West monsoon has further advanced in Gujarat. As per the latest situation announced by Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) South West monsoon today further advanced in Gujarat and covered almost entire Saurashtra, Central and South Gujarat regions. Ideally by 15 June, entire Gujarat should be covered under monsoon, but this year monsoon onset has been late and it is slowly progressing. So far Ahmedabad, north Gujarat and Kutch regions are not covered under South West monsoon. Sporadic rains so far here are considered pre-monsoon showers therefore.
