AAPians face heat over Twitter for spoiling Rajkot Chitranagari walls
July 07, 2016
Rajkot: Rajkot Municipal Corporation under the leadership of Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra had started a wonderful campaign called ‘Chitranagari’ in partnership with local artist groups.
Under Chitranagari project, hundreds of paintings were painted on walls located next to city’s main roads.
Artists worked hard in last hot summer to complete the target of total number of paintings.
As Aam Admi Party(AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal is coming to Rajkot for a flying visit en-route to Somnath, handful of apparently AAP cadres have started sticking his posters across the city.

An alert twitter user Brijesh Kotak tweeted these pictures today evening on twitter and said: AAP karyakarta ruins the painted walls by artists. They say they have permit.
Though similar pics were earlier tweeted by RJ Dhrumil, Kotak’s tweet went locally viral and people in big number started cursing this mindless act of AAPians.
Some of the tweets: Hey Arvind Kejriwal, stop your circus party jokers ruining the city. Isn’t Delhi enough?
– Good that your tweeted this and brought it to notice. Common sense is most uncommon with these lampoons.
– How can AAP spoil artists painted wall!! We don’t care even if AK come and stay here but Rajkot won award for this so please.
– This is hard work of kids and you cannot spoil this with filthy posters.
– Arvind Kejriwal first you turn Delhi into garbage bin by not paying municipal corporation staff now defacing art in Gujarat
Update:
When posters were removed they left scratches and leftover papers on walls. People are actually cursing Aapian lampoons for this nonsensical job. Damage done by them doesn’t seem reversible.
