Gujarat Board to discuss proposal regarding holiday on two Saturdays each month
August 12, 2016
Gandhinagar: One of the items on agenda before the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board for its August 29 meeting is whether to declare holiday on the second and fourth Saturdays in Gujarat Board affiliated schools. The proposal has been moved by one of board members.
The logic is, instead of having half day school on all four Saturdays of month, there should be two full working Saturadays and holiday on other two Saturdays.
The schools that are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education have already implemented this.
Re-assessment of answer papers for standard 12th Science stream which is presently not allowed should be allowed by Board, says another proposal which also will be discussed on August 29. At present the students can see their answer papers but re-assessment option is not available to 12th Science students.
