AAP state head office ransacked in Ahmedabad by a hardly known caste outfit
August 17, 2016
Ahmedabad: Some members of a hardly known caste based outfit today allegedly ransacked the state head office of Aam Admi Party situated in plush Navrangpura locality of Ahmedabad to allegedly protest the utterance of anti-Brahmin derogatory remarks by a district level woman leader of the party in Junagadh – Gujarat.
Media Coordinator, AAP Gujarat Harshil Nayak said that around 10 to 12 persons entered the state head office of the party in Ganesh Plaza close to Navrangpura police station and damaged furniture, computer, TV set and other articles and also blackened the posters of the party. They forced out some activists including two from party’s social media cell from there before committing the act.
Though a Brahmin outfit has reportedly claimed that the attack was done by its activists to protest the indecent utterances by a local woman leader of AAP, Mr Nayak in typical AAP style made this an political opportunity and claimed that it was sponsored by BJP.
He said that a team of AAP’s legal cell has gone to the police station to file an FIR in this regard.
A district level head of AAP in Junagadh had used offensive words against Brahmins that can’t be mentioned here. Kejriwal’s party had first announced suspension of that leader, but later when Kejriwal visited the area, the woman leader was seen accompanying him.
However looking at AAP track record of doing publicity gimmicks and constant victim hood playing spree, the truth of the incident can be known only after thorough probe.
