December 08, 2016
Jaipur:Nearly a fortnight after signing an agreement with a foreign origine evangelist NGO to improve nutritional status of children under five years of age in eight districts of Rajasthan, the state government has terminated the MoU, a senior official today said.
The Integrated Child Development Services Department (ICDS) on November 11 had signed the MoU with World Vision India for the next four years to reduce malnutrition in Barmer, Tonk, Baran, Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Alwar, Bundi and Dungarpur districts.
However, the state government has cancelled it.
“There are various MoUs that government sign with NGOs.
Some of them are terminated too. We had signed an MoU with World Vision India too and it has been terminated,” Samit Sharma, director of ICDS, told PTI.
The termination letter, signed by additional director of the department, states that the MoU was cancelled as per the clause VII (III) of the agreement.
