Court issues bailable warrant against Surendranagar MP

Gandhinagar: A local court in Kalol taluka of Gandhinagar district has issued bailable warrant against BJP MP from Surendranagar Loksabha constituency Devji Fatepara in a case filed by another party leader who has alleged that he did not return Rs 1 crore 48 lakh 50 thousand borrowed from him.

Former Vice President of Gandhinagar district unit of the BJP, Prabhatsinh Thakor had filed a case in the court alleging that he had given the amount in several go to Fatepara who had sought financial assistance to contest elections after getting party ticket in the 2014 loksabha polls.He had event transferred over Rs 40 lakhs to Fatepara’s father’s account.

He alleged that Fatepara did not return his money despite passage of the promised deadline of 3 months in this regard. Later the cheque he had issued was also returned by the bank.
