Congress party announces Pradesh Election Committee for Gujarat elections 2017

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Congress has today announced its Pradesh Election Committee led by State party chief Bharatsinh Solanki.

With this, the next announcement awaited is the formation of Screening Committee which plays important role in ticket distribution.

In another development, the State Congress has stated that more general scretaries and spokespersons are to be appointed in future especially from the areas of South Gujarat and Saurashtra.

It should be mentioned here that yesterday the party had announced a list of 10 vice presidents, 14 general secretaries, 7 spokespersons, 63 secretaries, 4 executive members and 9 special invitees. However some party men were complaining that they didn’t get chance in this body contrary to their expectations. In order to address them, the party today issued a statement that more appointments are to be made in future.

General elections of Gujarat assembly are likely to be announced in the second week of October this year. The elections are likely to be held in the month of December.
