Yet another pro-farmer announcement by CM Rupani, cotton to be purchased at Rs 950, Rs 100 higher than MSP

In yet another pro farmer step, CM Vijay Rupani today announced about purchase of cotton by the state government at a rate which was Rs 100 higher than the minimum support price.

Rupani during his address in a function here in presence of PM Narendra Modi said,’ Earlier our government had announced to purchase groundnut from Labh Pacham at a higher rate of Rs 900 to give relief to the farmers. Now I announce that the cotton will be purchased at Rs 950 by the government which was higher by Rs 100 than the minimum support price for it.’

CM Rupani also said that Gujarat was number one state in several aspects including providing employment.
