Passengers upset over irregular and frequently delayed ropax ferry service

Surat: Increasing number of passengers are complaining about frequent late departures and at times no departure of Hazira – Ghogha Ropax ferry. In latest the passengers have complained that Ropax ferry was put on stand by mode to make a way for a cargo ship at Adani’s Hazira terminal. The passengers are complaining that they don’t get proper reply when inquired about expected timings of departure and arrival. While passengers are asked to arrive early at terminal, the Ropax ferry doesn’t depart on time. There needs to be a live tracker and messaging facility like airlines so that the passengers can be informed about delays in departures.
