Gujarat govt orders 1.5 crore doses of Covid19 vaccines for free 3rd phase vaccination

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today said it has ordered one crore doses of covishield vaccine from Pune based SII and 50 lakh doses of Covaxin vaccine from Hyderabad based Bharat Biotech for free vaccination in 18-45 age group.

Gujarat will contribute to the third phase of vaccination covering all above 18-year age with these one and half crore doses starting from 1st of May. Gujarat has 6,000 public and private vaccination centres. The State has so far administered 1.13 crore vaccine doses. Online registration for 18-45 age group will start from 28 April on Cowin portal.
