Covid19: More daily recoveries than a day ago in Gujarat; cumulative death toll above 7,000

Gandhinagar: There has been rise in the number of those recovered from Covid in a day as per the latest daily bulletin of State health department. As many as 9,544 covid patients recovered in a day against 8,595 recoveries a day ago.

The State has recorded 14,327 fresh cases in a day slightly higher than 14,120 cases a day ago. 180 covid patients lost life in a day.

The number of active covid patients in the State is 1.37 lakh. Total cumulative figure of deaths due to Covid19 is now above 7,000 at 7,010 in the State.

Against 5,672 fresh cases yesterday in Ahmedabad, today 5,258 new cases were reported along with 25 deaths.

Surat city had 1836 fresh cases today against 1764 yesterday with 18 deaths.

Vadodara reported 639 fresh cases, Rajkot 607.
