AMC decides to grant Varsai benefits to cleaning staff

Ahmedabad: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today in its meeting of Standing Committee took decision to grant varsai benefit to dependents of over 6200 sweepers (safai workers) working with AMC. The meeting also approved Rs. 48 lakh work of change of railway tracks at Kankaria Lake Front mini toy train venue. A new ventilator purchase for Shardaben hospital, new Rs. 4.99 crore community health centre in Baherampura, a new school at Saraspur were some other projects approved.
