Love Jihad: Man on run with missing 14-year old Hindu girl booked under POCSO in Jhagadia

Bharuch: Umalla Police has booked a Muslim man Mubarak Diwan under POSCO. Mubarak has eloped with a 14-years old Hindu girl from Nani-Indor village of Jhagadia Taluka in Bharuch. A complaint was filed by the mother of the victim girl. The incident has resulted in strong outrage among the local people of the Jhagadia taluka.

Police said it will register a crime under Gujarat Freedom of Religion Amendment (2021) Act, popularly known as Anti-love jihad law against the Muslim-man after his arrest, if religious conversion of the minor girl is found to be done. DeshGujarat
