Junagadh: The police officials achieved success in finding a youth from Junagadh who was missing for 7 years. The police officials found him from Mumbai by tracing him through the online data of Covid-19 vaccination.
There is a provision of declaring the person missing from over 7 years as dead. However, the police officials found the youth alive who was lost 7 years ago before being declared as dead. The family members of a youth named Mohit Makwana studying at C.U. Shah medical college in Surendranagar and originally from Sheriyaj village near Mangrol in Junagadh had lost contact with him from 2nd February 2014 when he was a student of 3rd year. They couldn’t find him despite searching him at various places including his college. The case was handed over to Surendranagar crime-branch and special operation group but the missing youth couldn’t be found. In 2016, the investigation was handed over to DySP Jugal Purohit by IGP S.S. Trivedi of CID. DySP Jugal Purohit, other police-officials and the family members of the youth had made a lot of efforts to find him.
DySP Jugal Purohit then got the Aadhar number of the missing youth and started investigating if he has been vaccinated or not. They found that he had taken a vaccine somewhere in Mumbai. It was found that he was near Ambarnath in Mumbai. They then successfully found him from Mumbai with the support of technical team, higher officials and Mumbai Police. DeshGujarat
