Two days session of Gujarat Assembly from Monday

Gandhinagar: A two-day session of Gujarat Assembly will be convened during 27-28 September in which four “important” bills will be moved, discussed and passed. The election of new Speaker and Deputy Speaker will take place during the session. While unopposed election of BJP MLA Nimaben Acharya as Speaker is certain, the election for the post of Deputy Speaker will take place between BJP MLA Jethabhai Bharwad and Congress MLA Anil Joshiyara.

Four bills to be moved, discussed and passed in the session as per the State government’s earlier briefing are – Gujarat Professional Medical Education College and Institutions Amendment Act, Gujarat Goods & Service Tax Amendment Act 2021, The Gujarat Private University Amendment Ordinance 2021 and The Indian Partnership Gujarat Amendment Bill 2021.

A resolution on Aazadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav will be passed in the house during the session. DeshGujarat
