ACB Gujarat nabs senior GPF clerk in bribe case

Surat: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed a senior clerk of GPF department of Nagar Prathmik Shikshan Samiti office in Surat in a bribe case involving the sum of Rs 7 thousand.

The complainant’s husband had passed away and she had filed an application for getting the GPF. The accused senior clerk Samirbhai Rustambhai Bhagat had demanded a bribe of Rs 7 thousand for making a check of the amount of GPF for the complainant. The complainant contacted ACB as she was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused was found taking a bribe of Rs 7000 from the complainant during a trap executed by ACB on 21st March.
