Major consignment of Heroin seized from a freight company campus in Gandhidham

In a joint operation, Gujarat Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) and DRI seized a huge stock of Heroin at Arvind V Joshi company’s campus which is located some 16 km away from Kandla port in Gandhidham.

It is believed that the heroin seized is worth Rs. 2,500 crore. More containers are being checked. ATS DIG Deepan Bhadran confirmed the development saying it is ongoing operation and the total quantity of the stock is yet to be ascertained.

The substance was brought in a container from Afghanistan by declaring it as powder. The drug is in a pure form. One container contained around 300 kgs drugs. One kilogram of drug costs Rs 6 to 8 thousand crore as per international market price.So, 300 kgs of drug is worth Rs 1800 to 2000 thousand crore. DeshGujarat
