Surat: The police have booked a female corporator of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from Surat for unfurling the national flag upside down.

AAP had arranged Tiranga Yatra on 11th March near Simada naka in Surat to celebrate the victory of AAP in Punjab assembly election. AAP corporator of ward number 16 Shobhnaben Kevadiya (lives in Ishwarnagar society, Puna, Surat) allegedly unfurled the national flag upside down in the Tiranga yatra.

One Pranav Maganbhai Patel (lives in Krushnakunj society, Yogichok, Sarthana; mainly from Savarkundla in Amreli) had approached Sarthana police station against AAP corporator. The police filed a crime against the female corporator considering the plea. DeshGujarat
