SRP to help AMC in curbing illegal encroachment

Amdavad: Amdavad Municipal corporation (AMC), in its Standing committee meeting on Friday, decided to use State Reserve Police (SRP) while removing illegal encroachment from the Public Roads and state lands.

AMC pays the salaries of 53 SRP personnel who help the Cattle Nuisance and Control Department (CNCD). However, now the standing committee has resolved that the estate department should also use their service when removing encroachment or demolishing illegal buildings.
