Two dead, one in critical condition after lift collapse in Sachin GIDC

Surat: Two workers lost their lives today, and one sustained serious injuries when a lift collapsed at Madhunandan Industries (a dying & printing mill) in Sachin GIDC.

The incident occurred on the premises of Madhunandan Industries in Sachin GIDC this morning. The workers were using the lift to transport goods between floors when the lift suddenly collapsed, injuring three individuals. The injured workers were rushed to the government-run New Civil Hospital with the assistance of the 108 ambulance service. Sadly, two of them succumbed to their injuries, while one individual remains in critical condition, fighting for survival.

It has been learnt that the lift was old and had not been properly maintained. The Sachin GIDC police have registered a case of accidental death, and further investigation will be conducted. DeshGujarat
