AMTS driver suspended for taking bus to Sabarmati Riverfront

Sabarmati: A bus of Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) was spotted using the Sabarmati Riverfront’s river drive road in Shahibaug area. AMTS or any other buses are not allowed to use the river drive roads. As soon as a viral videos and photographs of a bus violating the rule were noticed by Amdavad Municipal Corporation(AMC), the identification process was initiated and it was found that the bus in question was carrying the passenger on Shravan route. As the bus had wrongly entered riverfront, a driver was served suspension order while heavy penalty was charged on the contractor responsible for operating this bus. Sabarmati river drive roads are blessing for commuters, as no bus, truck, heavy vehicle, transport vehicle, autorickshaws, loading rickshaws, cattle cart are allowed here. DeshGujarat
