Surat diamond trader donates 101 kg of gold to Ayodhya Ram Mandir

Ayodhya: A Surat diamond trader family has made a donation of 101 kg of gold to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya.
The family of Dilipkumar V. Lakhi, who runs one of the largest diamond factories in Surat, has donated 101 kg of gold to be used for gold gilding the doors of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. This donation is the largest received by the temple trust to date. The gold is being utilised for gilding the doors, Sanctum Sanctorum, Trishul, Damru, and pillars of the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. Along with the gate of the Sanctum Sanctorum (Garbhgriha), 14 golden gates have been installed on the ground floor of the temple.
The second-highest donation of Rs. 16.3 crore has been made by the followers of Shree Ram Katha by orator Morari Bapu.
Additionally, another diamond businessman from Surat, Govindbhai Dholakia, has made a donation of Rs. 11 crore. Dholakia is the founder of Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK). DeshGujarat
