Gandhinagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed the Office Superintendent (In-charge Assistant Commissioner) and a Peon of the Jilla Udhyog Kendra (District Industries Center), Gandhinagar, in a bribery case involving ₹4,200.
According to the ACB, the complainant approached the Jilla Udhyog Kendra, located at Sahyog Sankul, Gandhinagar, to apply for a subsidy loan of ₹7.74 lakh under the Vajpayee Bankable Scheme to purchase an Eeco car. During this process, the accused, Pravinbhai Manilal Shrimali, a Patavala (Peon) at the District Industries Center, demanded a bribe of ₹4,200 from the complainant in exchange for filling out the online application form and ensuring quick loan approval.

Based on the complaint, a trap was set, during which the accused, Pravin, engaged in a conversation with the complainant and accepted the bribe amount. Additionally, he accepted the bribe money with the consent of accused Maulik Mahendra Patel, the Office Superintendent (In-charge Assistant Commissioner).
