Gandhinagar: In the run-up to the local body polls, the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has announced the list of its star campaigners. This list of 20 star campaigners includes Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat BJP chief C.R. Patil, former Deputy CM Nitin Patel, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and Rajkot Lok Sabha MP Parshottam Rupala.

The list also features state party leaders such as State General Secretary (Organization) Ratnakar, General Secretary Gujarat Rajni Patel, Gujarat BJP Vice President Gordhanbhai Zadafia, party General Secretary and MP Vinod Chavda, Yuva Morcha President Prashant Korant, Mayank Nayak, and Mahila Morcha Chief Dr. Dipikaben Sarvada.

Meanwhile, the main opposition party, Congress, has also announced its list of star campaigners, which includes senior leaders like Mukul Wasnik, GPCC chief Shaktisinh Gohil, Leader of Congress Legislative Party Amit Chavda, Jagdish Thakor, Bharatbhai Solanki, Siddharth Patel, Shailesh Parmar, and Sukhram Rathwa. Paresh Dhanani, Ramkishan Ojha, Usha Naidu, Suhasini Yadav, Bhupendra Maravi, Lalji Desai, Amiben Yajnik, Jignesh Mevani, Indravijaysinh Gohil, Gyasuddin Shaikh, Dr. Tushar Chaudhary, and Punjabhai Vansh are also part of the list.

Gujarat will witness the local body elections on 16th February 2025, with vote counting scheduled for 18th February 2025. DeshGujarat
