Ahmedabad: In yet another case of non-veg food delivery instead of the ordered vegetarian food, a customer from Ahmedabad allegedly received a non-vegetarian sandwich from Subway when he had ordered a vegetarian sandwich via Swiggy.

The customer had ordered a Potato Chilli Cheese Sandwich from the Subway located at Bodakdev using the Swiggy app. However, he was left shocked when he received a non-vegetarian sandwich instead. After raising the matter with Swiggy’s customer support, the customer spoke with the restaurant’s agent, who tried to offer a refund and an additional order. The audio of the conversation between the customer and the Subway employee has come to light.

In the audio, the employee apologized to the customer and offered a refund for the order as well as a new one. However, the customer declined the new order. The Subway employee tried to offer more items while accepting the mistake made by the outlet. The customer stated that the refund was not important, but serving non-veg food to a pure vegetarian person was wrong. To which the Subway employee replied that she herself is a vegetarian and has faced similar issues in the past.
