GMRC announces direct Metro trains with increased frequency to Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad

Gandhinagar: From February 15, there will be no need to change the Metro train to travel from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar and return journey at Motera station. Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has today made an announcement to increase the frequency of Metro trains connecting Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar and also announced direct route of APMC – Motera – GNLU – GIFT City.
GMRC today informed the passengers through a press release that permission to increase metro train frequency between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar with direct connectivity has been obtained from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety.
GMRC further stated that passengers will no longer need to change Metro trains at Motera Stadium Metro station or GNLU for journey to Sector-1 of Gandhinagar and GIFT City. Additionally, bus services will be available every 30 minutes between GNLU station and GIFT City offices, with a stop at PDEU.
The last metro train from Gandhinagar will leave at 19.21 from Sector-1 Metro station.
Starting from February 15, 2025, trains will run directly from APMC to Sector-1 and GIFT City on a trial basis as per the following schedule.
