AMC Announces New Ticket Rates as Boating Resumes at Kankaria Lakefront
October 30, 2025
Ahmedabad: After a gap of nearly one and a half years, boating activities at the Kankaria Lakefront in the Maninagar area of the city are set to resume from November 1. The popular Naginawadi entertainment zone, located at the center of the lake, will also reopen for visitors.
At a meeting held today, the Standing Committee of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) approved a proposal to restart boating operations at Kankaria.
Naginawadi, situated within Kankaria Lake, was developed by AMC on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis during 2003–04. Since its inauguration in 2004, 6,361,116 visitors have enjoyed the musical fountain and laser show, while 8,630,392 people have participated in various boating activities.
