Narendra Modi was recently elected as ‘Priya Gujarati’ in a public voting based contest held by Etv Gujarati channel. Etv Gujarati initially selected some prominent Gujaratis as nominees for ‘Priya Gujarati’ title. In second stage, public voting was organized in several cybre cafes across Gujarat. According to voting result, 82 percent people choose Narendra Modi as ‘Priya Gujarati’ which was obvious seeing Narendra Modi’s popularity these days in the state.

A grand function was organized in Ahmedabad to award Narendra Modi the title of ‘Priya Gujarati’. Most of the members of Narendra Modi’s ministry were present in this function. Etv channels network’s owner shree Ramoji Rao was present all the way from Hyderabad. Morari Bapu too had specially came to Ahmedabad for this function.
