Modi after second round of investigation, talking to media at 1.15am on Sunday morning

“The canvas was long – from 27th February to the end of Gujarat election,” Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said today morning at around 1.15 am in conversation with media persons outside the Special Investigation Team(SIT) office in Gandhinagar when he was asked whether SIT investigated him about Gulbarg case or about all Godhra and post-Godhra events.

Modi said, they asked him about eight year old events. Whatever he could recalled, he recalled and answered during the investigation.

“There was an officer and a typist. My statement was typed and I signed it,” Modi said.

Modi reiterated that the SIT had no officer from Gujarat and it was constituted by the Supreme Court.

When curious journalists asked Modi about the content of investigation, Modi refused to reveal it and said it was now in Supreme Court domain. Reacting to media’s query, Modi said he had not counted the number of questions. Modi said he fully cooperated the investigating team.

Modi arrived at SIT office for second round of investigation at 9pm. The investigation was completed at 1am. This means his total investigation lasted for 9 hours. Modi confirmed that his part of investigation was over today.
