The port town Mandavi, home town of Pandit Shyamji Krushna Varma who led freedom struggle from India House in London, is all set with noble affection to pay tributes to the great leader. Chief Minister, Shri Narendra Modi would dedicate Krantiveer Shyamji Krushna Varma Memorial on 13th Dec at Mandavi.

We are proud of our freedom fighters and martyrs as we value the role they have played and the sacrifices they have made in the freedom struggle, the memorial to offer inspiration to one and all.

Gujarat and Kutch is globally respected for its crucial niche and the strides made in various sectors, many of the tourists are coming to Kutch and Mandavi, the newly built memorial marks the beginning of a new era, it is also an occasion to pay tributes to heroism and the sacrifices made for nation’s sake. Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision is to highlight the sacrifices and contribution made by freedom fighters. They spent their life for the cause of freedom struggle. The memorial is to teach our future generation the value and importance of the selfless contributions made by the martyrs.

Spread over 52 acres of land, a sum of Rs 6 Cr have been spent to construct the memorial, it has been constructed within a very short span, actually CM had laid foundation of memorial on 4th Oct last year. It takes us face to face with the life and sacrifices of Krantiveer Shyamji Krushna Verma. Just at the centre, a great flame lights up the soul and inspires the visitors. Surrounding is spruced up with a casket fountain; the passage on the right end gives it a unique identity. At the end of the passage comes Veeranjali Gallery, it houses the Asthi- Kumbh of Pandit Shyamji Varma and his wife Bhanuben Varma. People have always seen him as a great patriot and principled freedom fighter who sacrificed everything he possessed.

An exact replica of India Hose in London, the statues of Lok Manya Tilak, Sardarsinh Rana, and Krantiveer Kama spreads the message of patriotism and unbound love for our motherland. Besides a library, and audio-video room, it also displays the furniture of Krantiveer’s house in London.

Children Park, Amphitheater, Canteen and other facilities are also taken care of. Forest department has planted as many as 2200 trees forming a Krantivan in memorial premises.
