-State cabinet meeting chaired by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today approved Gujarat State Litigation Policy and appointed three layer high power committees for its implementation.
-Habib alias Taiyab , an accused in the 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts was arrested by a joint team of Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat Police from Jahingarabad area in Ambedkar Nagar district today. During questioning, he said he came in contact with SIMI members at a Madarsa in Azamgarh. In 2007, Taiyab joined SIMI’s Safdar Nagauri faction and in 2008, he received training in a camp, the officials said.
-Sessions Court orders death sentence to two convicts in Chandhi rape and murder case.
-2002 Godhra train carnage attacker Shaukat Abdul Maulvi Ismail Badam jumps parole. He was on parole and had to appear before the jail authority on 20 December. He was in prison under life term. Police complaint has been filed in this regard in Vadodara’s Raopura police station.
-Anil Ambani visited Somnath with his sister in helicopter. He performed pooja. The news in section of media that he has donated Rs 2.50 crore to Somnath mandir is not backed by the authority and it seems a false news. Ambani is fitness freak and therefore he didn’t miss his morning walk even in Chorwad. He started early morning walk and then proceeded for Somnath in helicopter.
-Fire broke our in Lakshmi diamond in Surat. 8 fire fighters controlled the fire.
-Gram Panchayat poll for more than 8,000 villages covering over 1.5 crore voters will be held on Thursday.
