And look what Uttar Pradesh Tourism has done to attract more Gujarati tourists to the state.
In Tourism fair organized at Ahmedabad’s Rajpath club, we spotted around half a dozen Gujarati booklets on various tourist attractions of the state of Uttar Pradesh.
An official of UP Tourism at the stall told DeshGujarat, “looking at the large number of Gujarati tourists to our state, the government decided to print tourism promotion literature in three languages, namely Hindi, English and Gujarati.”
“Gujaratis are the best bunch of tourists in Uttar Pradesh. They spend lot and insist for vegetarian food,” he added.
He pointed out that there’s one booklet in Gujarati about Chhapaiya at his stall, which is the birth place of Shri Sahajananda Swami/ Bhagawan Swaminarayana. Through this booklet we want to attract the followers of Swaminarayana sect in large number to Uttar Pradesh, he said.
