Gujarat government today ordered transfer of Jamnagar district police chief Subhash Trivedi and replaced him with HK Patel.
Trivedi has been shifted to Vadodara as new Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime).
Trivedi’s transfer was expected as the Gujarat government had told the Gujarat High Court that he will be transferred in ten days.
Trivedi was facing custodial torture case, and the High Court had taken strong stand against him in that case, even after the applicant had withdrew the case.
