-311 Gujarat fishermen released from Pakistani jails reached Ahmdabad railway station on Saturday.
-CBI wants three more months to file report on Sadiq Jamal encounter case. An application in this regard was filed today in Gujarat High Court.
-The court orders arrest of Dadra Nagar Haveli BJP MP Natubhai Patel under section 307 for alleged attack on former MP Mohan Delkar.
-Naroda Patiya case verdict will be delivered now on 29th of August.
-MahaGujarat Janata Party leader Gordhan Zadafia met team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal today morning at Gandhi ashram.
-Amreli court passes the order for criminal inquiry under section-210 for charges of CRPC 120B against state minister Dileep Sanghani. The court seeks report in 15 days. The case is about an attack on RTI activist Nathalal Sukhadia who had asked police to write Sanghani’s name in FIR.
-All India Congress Committee (AICC) Treasurer Motilal Vora was on Gujarat visit today. According to sources Vora discussed treasury related issues with Gujarat Congress leaders in run up to the election.
-Additional Sessions Court today rejected revision plea of suspended IPS Sanjiv Bhatt and six other policemen in 1990 murder case of Jamjodhpur.
