Ahmedabad, 16 May 2013
Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi in his speech at the foundation laying function of Modh Vanik hostel building in Amdavad today morning delivered address in his unique style. He spoke in Gujarati, and in later part of his speech he asked Modh Vaniks to think big. He told them to come out of the ceiling of fix mentality. The video presented above features that particular part of his speech. The points mentioned below are part of that portion of his speech.
-When government permits 8-12 floor building, why are you going to build just two-three floor hostel building? The land will not be easily available now. Bring more donation, but build foundation for 8-12 floor building and not 2-3 floors.
-To remove poverty, you first need to remove poverty of mind.
-Think big, think on grand scale. If you are planning a building for 25-50 students, replan it for 5,000 students. If you have planned 40-50 rooms, rethink the plan and go for 500 rooms.
-You should have willingness to come out of your limitations.
