Cash worth around 1.35 crore stolen from SBI main brach in Amreli city of Gujarat

Cash worth around Rs 1.35 crore has been stolen from the main branch of State Bank of India in Amreli city of Gujarat.
Unknown thieves entered the bank last night from back-side by cutting the rear ventilator and RCC slab. As the bank was closed on Sunday as a weekly holiday and on Monday too for Janmashtami, the theft was noticed today only when the bank re-opened.
They entered the strong room of the bank and decamped with cash worth around Rs 1. 35 crore,’ PI of Amreli city police station where the complaint about the theft in the bank situated near Nagnath temple has been lodged, R V Desai said today.
‘We are trying to nab the thieves. The footage of the CCTV installation in the bank is also being seen,’ the PI said.
