Minor and relatively less lethal blasts at numerous crowded place and then when injured people are being taken to the hospitals, major blasts at the hospitals. This was the unique modus operandy applied for 26th July Ahmedabad blasts.

In busy streets of Ahmedabad, minor and less lethal bomb blasts at 14 different places were executed using bicycle bombs. But blasts thereafter at Civil and L.G. hospitals were major and grander where not bicycles but explosives loaded cars were used to create greater calamity.

So was this a unique modus operandy?

Yes, this modus operandy was original and new, but just at implementation level. At idea level it was already executed in a new Hindi bollywood film ‘Contract’ which released just 10 days before the Ahmedabad blasts.

The film ‘Contract’ is in discussion for it’s one particular scene in which main villain, Sultan, outlines his plan of setting off low-intensity blasts in crowded places and then when the injured throng the nearest hospital, triggering much bigger blasts at the hospitals.

Here are complete dialogs of that particular scene in discussions. Conversation is between villain character ‘Sultan’ and Hero’s character ‘Ayaan’:

“Which are the most crowded places in Mumbai?”

“Railway stations, shopping malls, schools for children.”

“I love children but not more than Jeehad(Islamic religious fight). School is the place where children of kafirs(Non-believers in Quran) are educated. Death is better than wrong education.”

“Death is not enough but people should be feared. That is the task. Even if a tyre bursts, people should feel that bomb has blasted.”

“Check out some selected stations in proximity to hospitals.”

“Why hospitals?”

“Bombs will be blasted, Injureds would be taken to hospitals in around one hour and then we would blast the hospitals using timer.”

“If bomb is found in cinema hall, what does the police do? Police vacates cinema hall to check whether there is another bomb or not? If there is a bomb in the hospital, injureds would not be able to go inside and those inside would not be able to come outside.”

“haa haa haa”

One of the blasts in Ahmedabad, happened in a local public transport bus. This was similar to one scene of recent bollywood film ‘Aamir’ in which hero who played a role of ‘Aamir’ a Muslim young man had to put a bag under the seat of the local transport bus loaded with explosives given by Islamic fanatics.

In both the films; ‘Aamir’ and ‘Contract’, Islamic ideology of terror has been presented and propagandized aggressively through putting strong dialogs in the mouths of villains in the role of Islamic terrorists who justify terror plots and Islamic war in their conversations. These dialogs are like ideal propaganda material for Islamic jeehad in India. Though villains throughout and ultimately are shown as bad and defeated people in both the films, their depicted ideology of terror, their preachings and strong justifications can fuel bad intentions of bad people amongst the audience. Film media is second powerful media after news media in India and it’s funding sources have raised questions in the past. There is a surge in Islamic villains and riots related films in recent time.

There is every possibility that the incidents of blast and films might have been just a matter of coincidence, but if not this should be taken seriously.
