Gandhinagar, 1 October, 2010

Gujarat government today declared holiday for government employees on 6 November.
The 6th November holiday is placed in exchange of fourth Saturday of the month of November.
This means, the government offices will be working on fourth Saturday, but will remain closed on 6 November.
It should be mentioned here that 5 November(Friday) is Diwali day, and 7th November(Sunday) is new year day. However, in between falls 6th November which is plain day. Government’s decision to transfer fourth Saturday holiday to 6th November is therefore a highly welcome decision.
