Shaktisinh criticizes Vibrant summit on Facebook

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s latest shock and awe was Vibrant Gujarat Summit, and we found Gujarat Congress completely silent during and after the summit.

But then Congress is Congress, if Siddharth Patel doesn’t speak, Shaktisinh is there, if Shaktisinh doesn’t speak Arjun Modhwadia is there, and then there are Shaknarsinh and others. Somebody would surely speak.

So this time, it was Shaktisinh Gohil’s turn. Following is his Facebook message on Vibrant summit:

“Myth versus Reality : Vibrant Gujarat is about propaganda and favours to select group of industrialists. Educated unemployed youth figure has gone up to 8.5 lakh plus in Gujarat(and this is the govt figure only registered at employment bureaus). The real figure could be more starking. Gujarat is vibrant only for a few…. Otherwise, home grown Small and Medium Enterprises(SME) and industries face a host of problems.”

So we thought Congress party in Gujarat was limited to newspapers, but no wonder if the party further limits itself to Facebook now.

Though Congress has become completely irrelevant in Gujarat’s politics, it should be credited as at least an opposition party that exists, so what if sometime just in Facebook!

While Modi’s target is at least 150 seats (out of 182) in 2012 Gujarat assembly poll, Gujarat Congress should ask Modi which 32 seats he is not targeting, and should work hard for those seats from now only.

Report from Ankleshwar adds to this

Earlier on Saturday in Congress party’s gathering event in Ankleshwar, Shri Shaktisinhji had said similar. He had said that the MoUs were just on paper. He also said in his address how Tata Motors was given 0.10% government loan for Nano plant and how the company was given liberty to pay back after 20 years. Gohil said the way the Chief Minister speaks about elimination of unemployment in the state, it seems whole India’s unemployment problem will finish through Vibrant.

In same function, Maharashtra’s minister Padmakarvalvi said that the real Vibrant leader is Ahmed Patel who meets poor people from his constituency first whild ministers and Chief ministers can wait. Parmakarvalvi presented a sword to Shaktisinh Gohil and said, “I have brought this sword from the land of Shivaji maharaj. This sword is a symbol of power and I am presenting it so that Congress become powerful in Gujarat and like Maharashtra, even here it can form a government.”
