Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today backed the issues raised in central Agriculture Sharad Pawar’s note to Prime Minister.
Shri Modi tweeted, “UPA ignores our repeated please against anti-farmer policies. Wonder if they will respond to their own Agriculture Minister.”
With this Shri Modi gave a link directed to a PTI story on Sharad Pawar’s angry note to PM.
Irked by curbs on milk, cotton and sugar exports, Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar has sent a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh stating that the government’s policies are hurting farmers who are being asked to subsidise the industry.
