India should fight ISIS now: Swamy

Senior BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy today said that India should fight against the terror outfit ISIS in Syria.

Addressing a press conference here today Mr. Swamy said,’ India should fight against the ISIS in Syria. Sooner or later we will have to face them. So it is better if we start now.’

‘If the ISIS manages to maintain its hold on Syria and Iraq then it will certainly move to India after taking Pakistan,’ he said adding that a Paris like attack on India soil could not also be ruled out.

Later in another interaction with media he said that India must join hands with France and other countries in attacking the ISIS strongholds. ‘If we don’t help finishing them up now, they will come to us and we will have to face the consequences,’ he said.

To a query regarding most of the Indians joining ISIS allegedly being South Indian Muslims, the BJP leader said that it was because the southern city of Hyderabad has become a den of such activities.

‘Also the Tamil Muslims, who had once joined LTTE owing to wrong policies of the former Congress backed DMA government, are now moving towards the ISIS,’ he claimed.
