Another UMPP in Gujarat to come up at Una

The 4,000 MW imported coal based ultra mega power project(UMPP) will come up at 400 hectare land near Una town in Gir Somnath district of Gujarat at a cost of around 20,000 crore. After Mundra in Kutch, this will be the second location for UMPP in Gujarat. The site selection has been done by The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission and Gujarat Government. Next step will be bid inviting process for interested private parties.
