Fire in two factories in Surat/Ahmedabad

Property worth over lakhs of rupees was gutted in two separate incidents of fire in Ahmedabad and Surat today.
However no loss of life has been reported.
The first incident took place in GIDC area in Pandesara of Surat where the fire broke out in a private textile dyeing and printing mill causing extensive damage.
In Ahmedabad altogether seven fire fighting vehicles were deployed to extinguish the fire in a plastic packaging material factory in Changodar area.
The exact reasons behind the incidents were being investigated, however, both the incidents are understood to have been triggered by short circuit.
