Jayram Patel led committee formed to resolve Patidar issue

Fathers of Patidar agitators Dinesh, Ketan and Chirag Patel who are in jail under sedition charge today met Gujarat Chief Minister with mediator Jayrambhai Patel(Vansjaliya) and another member of community Amul Patel.

Dinesh, Ketan and Chirag have given in writing that a committee led by Jayrambhai will play mediator role between the agitators and government, and it is accepted to them.

Dinesh, Ketan and Chirag are core members of Patidar agitation led by Hardik Patel.

Hardik’s father was not part of today’s meeting.

Jayrambhai said, “we handed over the letter(signed by Dinesh, Ketan and Chirag Patel) today to government”.

When asked whether leader of agitation Hardik Patel agrees to this committee, Jayrambhai said, “he is like our son, we will convince him and we have faith that he would be positive.”

Gujarat government spokesperson Shri Nitin Patel said, “the State government had already proposed discussion between the leaders of community, representatives of agitators and representatives from government. A discussion on names of committee members was going on for last 15 days with leaders of agitators and mediator Jayrambhai. Names of members of committee are accepted to leaders of agitation. Discussion with other leaders of agitation will be smoother now. The committee has limited names, but we will keep all leaders of community with us and try to bring amicable solution soon.”
