Hookah bars may face sealing in Ahmedabad

After permission from the Supreme Court, Hookah Bars have mushroomed in cities across the country. The city of Ahmedabad has around 50 hookah bars in operation. Some BJP Councillors in Standing Committee meeting of AMC demanded sealing of those hookah bars that are operating without Building Use permission. Such hookah bars are permitted by police but then AMC has power to seal them if its permission has not been taken. BJP Councillors were of opinion that hookah bars are social evil and they need to be shut down. Nearly ten hookah bars are already sealed on Sindhu Bhavan road.
