AMC finalizes heat action plan: 475 parab, 3 mobile parab planned

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has finalized its heat plan for summer 2016 in cooperation with Indian Meteorological Department, Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar and Natural Resource Defense Council America.

As per a statement issued by AMC in this connection, the temperature in Ahmedabad will remain around 40 degree Celsius till 20th April.

AMC is going to start three mobile parab in high risk areas in public private partnership.

AMC had held meetings with various voluntary organizations. As a result of this 475 parab are started in city.

Setting up banners and hoarding, distribution of leaflets in high risk areas, primary facilities at urban health centers, announcement of alert when temperature goes above 43 degree are some of the actions planned under heat action plan.
