Pastor reads Bible to mark Guru Purnima in govt primary school in Tapi; VHP protests

Tapi: Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) protested over the reading of the Bible message by a pastor in a primary school on Guru Purnima in Kukdadungri village in Songadh in Tapi district.
A Guru Pujan program took place on 3rd July at a government primary school in Kukdadungri, Songadh taluka, in Tapi district. During the program, Pastor Panchyabhai Gamit was also present and read a message from the Bible. The Tapi district VHP condemned the incident, alleging religious conversion of the students. VHP President Rakesh Gamit, Mahant Rudra Pramodgiri Bapu, and other leaders visited the school on Friday to discuss the incident with Principal Nilesh Gamit and the staff. The principal acknowledged the mistake, and VHP leaders submitted a memorandum to the collector’s office in Vyara, demanding an investigation. DeshGujarat
