There are total 644 pages in the directory of BSNL’s Ahmedabad based landline residential connections. Patels are occupying 101 pages that is 15.5 percent part of the directory. While Shahs are occupying 70 pages (10.86%) The team which has worked for telephone directories of 21 cities across India, says that team has nowhere else experienced matching scenario of so much dominating surnames like ‘Patel’ and ‘Shah’ in Ahmedabad.
