Road Shows in 22 countries to promote Vibrant Gujarat

In a bid to promote Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit(VGGIS) 2009 at international level, the Gujarat government has organised Road shows in 22 countries across the world. Road Shows kicked off on 11th of October in some countries and will continue till 15 November this year.Gujarat government has hired marketing agencies to ensure success of the Road Shows.
Road shows to promote VGGIS 2009 are organised in selected Indian cities too. While Chief Minister Narendra Modi is going to lead the Road Shows at Delhi(17 Oct.), Kokata(24 Oct.) and Mumbai(10 Nov.), Energy Minister Saurabh Patel will lead Chennai(21 Oct.), Bangalore(7 Nov.) and Hyderabad(11 Nov.) road shows.
VGGIS 2009 is organized at Ahmedabad’s Science City in January next year with the motive to create more jobs in Gujarat. The January 2009 summit is fourth VGGIS. Earlier the 2003 Global Investors’ Summit was held coinciding with the glorious Navratri Festival where a total of 76 MOUs worth USD 14 billion were signed. The 2005 Summit saw signing of 226 MOUs garnering an investment of USD 20 billion. The year 2007 Summit, attended by industry majors like Tata, Birla, Reliance, Shell, General Motors, ICICI to name a few resulted in signing of 675 MOUs worth USD 152 billion.

08 to 18 November: U.S.A
12 to 20 November: Belgium, Germany, Russia
15 to 24 November: U.S.A
